About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting a dedicated Insurance Claims Handler to join their fully remote operational team. In this critical role, you will manage the end-to-end process of insurance claims, providing empathetic support to policyholders during challenging times while ensuring efficient and fair settlements. Working from your home office, you will communicate with claimants, assess claim validity, and process payments in accordance with policy terms and company procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, register, and validate incoming insurance claims from policyholders and third parties.
- Investigate claims by gathering necessary documentation, evidence, and information.
- Assess the validity and extent of liability according to policy terms and conditions.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with claimants, providing regular updates on claim progress.
- Process claim payments accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to financial controls.
- Liaise with other departments, such as legal or loss adjusting, as required for claim resolution.
Requirements
- Previous experience in claims handling or a similar administrative role within the insurance sector .
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and claims processes.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills, essential for remote interaction.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office applications.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational ability.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work independently in a remote setting.
