About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Remote IT Support Specialist to join their expanding team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to provide essential technical assistance and maintenance services from the comfort of your own home, supporting users across the UK, with a focus on clients located around Leeds . You will be the first point of contact for a variety of IT issues, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network problems to ensure minimal disruption to our clients' operations. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, adept at problem-solving remotely, and dedicated to delivering exceptional IT support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and remote access tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and network peripherals.
- Assist with user account management, password resets, and access permissions.
- Document all support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.
- Proactively identify potential IT problems and escalate complex issues to senior support teams when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an IT support or help desk role, preferably in a remote capacity.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS), common software applications, and basic networking principles.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- A dedicated home workspace with a reliable high-speed internet connection is required.
