About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Lead Grid Operations Engineer to join their fully remote team, contributing to the stability and efficiency of energy distribution networks. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the electrical grid, ensuring stability, reliability, and safety.
• Develop and implement strategies for grid optimization , load forecasting, and contingency planning.
• Lead the integration of new renewable energy sources and energy storage solutions into the existing grid infrastructure.
• Monitor grid performance using advanced SCADA systems and analytical tools, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
• Manage and mentor a team of grid engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance within a remote setting.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in power systems operations and grid management.
• Extensive knowledge of SCADA systems, grid control technologies, and energy market operations .
• Proven track record in leading large-scale grid modernization projects and renewable integration initiatives.
• Strong understanding of power system stability, protection, and fault analysis.
