About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Lead Procurement Specialist to drive excellence in their purchasing operations. This fully remote role empowers you to manage complex sourcing projects and supplier relationships from anywhere within the UK. You will lead strategic procurement initiatives, develop category management plans, and mentor junior team members. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong analytical mindset and exceptional negotiation skills, capable of delivering significant cost savings and operational efficiencies across a broad range of indirect and direct spend categories through effective remote collaboration and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing projects and category management for key business spend areas.
• Develop and implement robust procurement strategies to optimize value and mitigate risk.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis, supplier assessments, and bid processes.
• Negotiate and manage high-value contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and drive alignment.
• Mentor and provide guidance to procurement team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement , with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in category management, negotiation, and contract management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience working remotely.
• Proficiency in procurement software and digital collaboration platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; CIPS certification preferred.
