About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Remote Lead Project Manager to spearhead their Software Development projects. This role offers the opportunity to work entirely remotely from anywhere within the UK and manage the full lifecycle of innovative software solutions. You will lead a globally distributed team of developers, designers, and QA engineers, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of cutting-edge software products. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies, driving success in a remote-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects , ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and business objectives.
• Manage and mentor a distributed team of software engineers, project coordinators, and other project personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive remote environment.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, detailed timelines, resource allocation, budget management, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate effective communication between development teams, product managers, stakeholders, and clients, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the implementation of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) to optimize development workflows and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Conduct regular project reviews, performance monitoring, and post-mortem analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices in software project management.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management , with a significant portion dedicated to leading software development projects.
• Demonstrated success in delivering complex software products using Agile methodologies in a remote or distributed team setting.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate remote teams effectively.
• Proficiency with modern project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana) and collaboration platforms.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
