About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Legal Counsel with a strong focus on Technology and Intellectual Property law. This position is critical for supporting the company's innovative projects and safeguarding its intellectual assets. You will provide comprehensive legal guidance on matters ranging from software licensing and development agreements to patent prosecution and trademark management. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate technology-related agreements, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, and development contracts.
- Manage and protect the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
- Advise on IP strategy, IP due diligence for M&A, and IP licensing.
- Provide legal support for product development, data privacy, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Liaise with external IP counsel and manage IP-related litigation or disputes.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales with a minimum of 6 years' PQE, specialising in technology and IP law.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex technology and IP agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of patent, trademark, copyright, and data protection laws.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and emerging technologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
