Remote Legal Counsel - Technology & IP

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Legal Counsel with a strong focus on Technology and Intellectual Property (IP) Law . This fully remote position involves providing expert legal advice to clients across various innovative sectors, guiding them through complex technology agreements, IP protection strategies, and licensing deals. You will be crucial in helping clients navigate the legal landscape of emerging technologies and safeguard their valuable intellectual assets. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate technology-related agreements, including SaaS, software licenses, development agreements, and master service agreements.
• Advise on intellectual property protection, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
• Manage IP portfolios, including registration, enforcement, and defense of IP rights.
• Provide legal guidance on data privacy, cybersecurity, and e-commerce regulations.
• Conduct legal due diligence for technology transactions and investments.
• Liaise with external IP attorneys and domain experts as needed to support client needs.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England and Wales with a minimum of 6 years' PQE.
• Significant experience in technology law and intellectual property law .
• Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating complex technology and IP agreements.
• Strong understanding of patent, trademark, and copyright law, including prosecution and litigation.
• Experience with data protection and cybersecurity legal frameworks is essential.
• Excellent ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote environment .
