About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and highly organised Remote Logistics Coordinator to join their forward-thinking team, supporting operations in Cambridge . This position is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while playing a crucial role in managing and coordinating the movement of goods. You will be responsible for liaising with carriers, managing documentation, and ensuring the smooth execution of logistics plans. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery across various modes of transport.
- Manage and prepare all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
- Communicate proactively with suppliers, customers, and transportation partners to resolve logistical queries and issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistical activities and update the transport management system (TMS) regularly.
- Monitor carrier performance and identify areas for improvement in service and cost.
- Provide support for customs clearance and ensure compliance with international shipping regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding role.
- Strong proficiency with logistics software, including TMS and ERP systems.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a remote workload.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working virtually.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , particularly Excel for data tracking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
