Remote Logistics Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and self-motivated Remote Logistics Coordinator to join their fully distributed team. This position will be responsible for managing the seamless coordination of shipments, optimizing transportation routes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods across various locations. You will work independently, leveraging communication tools and technology to liaise with carriers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. This role offers the flexibility of working from anywhere within the UK, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage responsibilities autonomously in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring efficient transit.
• Track shipments in real-time, providing proactive updates and resolving any logistical issues that may arise.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and other third-party logistics providers.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping activities, costs, and performance metrics within the company's systems.
• Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments, such as sales and operations, to ensure alignment and smooth workflow.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics coordination , supply chain management, or a related field.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong proficiency with logistics software, TMS, and standard office applications.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in remote collaboration.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
• Understanding of transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
