Remote Logistics Network Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Remote Logistics Network Analyst to join their distributed operations team, supporting their UK-wide logistics network. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing complex logistical data, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending strategic improvements to our supply chain operations. You will work independently, collaborating virtually with various teams to ensure our distribution network is as efficient and cost-effective as possible, leveraging data to drive impactful decisions from anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse logistical data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for network optimization.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports for key logistics metrics.
• Model and simulate different network scenarios to evaluate the impact of proposed changes.
• Collaborate virtually with operations, planning, and transportation teams to implement recommendations.
• Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making regarding warehouse locations, fleet utilisation, and route planning.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies to enhance logistics network performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Logistics Analyst, Network Analyst, or similar role, with a strong analytical focus.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and potentially BI software like Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with network modelling or simulation software is a plus.
• Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable working and collaborating remotely with diverse teams.
• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
