Remote Logistics Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote Logistics Planner to join their expanding operations team. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for optimizing the planning and execution of transportation and warehousing activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods. You will leverage your expertise in logistics planning to enhance our supply chain performance, working collaboratively with stakeholders across different departments and geographical locations. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while making a significant impact on our logistics network.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed logistics plans for inbound and outbound shipments, optimizing routes and modes of transport.
• Coordinate with carriers, warehouse facilities, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of planned activities.
• Monitor shipment progress, identify potential delays or issues, and implement proactive solutions.
• Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and service improvement.
• Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to align planning with business needs and forecasts.
• Maintain and update logistics documentation, including schedules, tracking information, and performance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics planning or coordination.
• Proficiency with logistics planning software and TMS (Transportation Management Systems).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
