About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Remote Logistics Planner to join their operations team, supporting activities primarily for the Leeds region but functioning entirely from a remote location. You will be responsible for planning and optimizing the transportation of goods, ensuring deliveries are made efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to coordinate complex logistical movements using advanced planning software. You will be a key player in streamlining our logistics network, contributing to cost savings and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective planning and execution in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule transportation routes and delivery times for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Optimize logistics networks to reduce transportation costs and improve delivery efficiency.
• Utilize logistics planning software to manage routes, carrier assignments, and load optimization.
• Monitor shipment progress, identify potential disruptions, and implement contingency plans.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams, carriers, and customers to ensure seamless coordination.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics planning , transportation management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of transportation modes, carrier operations, and route optimization techniques.
• Proficiency with logistics planning and TMS software .
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, crucial for a remote position.
