Remote Manufacturing Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Manufacturing Consultant to provide expert advice and strategic guidance to their operations team, which is primarily based in Bristol but operating across multiple locations. You will leverage your deep understanding of manufacturing processes, efficiency optimisation, and technological integration to drive improvements and solve complex challenges. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while making a significant impact on our client's manufacturing strategy and execution. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven history of delivering measurable results in diverse manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse current manufacturing operations and identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
• Develop and propose strategic plans for implementing new technologies, lean methodologies, and process optimisation .
• Provide expert guidance on supply chain management, inventory control, and production planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams remotely to implement agreed-upon solutions and monitor progress.
• Conduct virtual workshops and training sessions for operational staff and management.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in advanced manufacturing and digital transformation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in manufacturing operations , process engineering, or production management.
• Demonstrated ability to consult and implement significant improvements in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
• Proficiency in using collaboration tools for remote work and project management software.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, adapted for a remote audience.
