Remote Mechanical Engineer - Product Development

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process for new product development, from concept ideation through to production readiness, using 3D CAD software .
• Develop detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and assemblies, considering factors such as manufacturability, cost, and performance.
• Conduct stress analysis , thermal simulations, and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure product reliability and functionality.
• Collaborate closely with electrical engineering and firmware teams to integrate mechanical and electronic components seamlessly.
• Work with overseas manufacturing partners to oversee prototyping, tooling, and production processes.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including BOMs and manufacturing specifications.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development and mechanical design.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Onshape) and simulation tools.
• Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes like injection molding, CNC machining, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Excellent remote collaboration skills and a proven ability to manage projects autonomously.
