About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Mechanical Engineer with expertise in simulation and analysis to join their virtual engineering team. This role focuses on leveraging advanced simulation tools to predict, analyze, and optimize the performance of mechanical designs from anywhere. You will collaborate with design engineers globally, providing critical insights that drive design improvements and reduce physical prototyping needs. Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced finite element analysis (FEA) , computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and multi-physics simulations on mechanical components and systems.
- Develop and validate simulation models to accurately predict product performance, durability, and thermal behavior.
- Collaborate remotely with design and R&D teams to interpret simulation results and provide actionable recommendations for design optimization.
- Define simulation strategies, methodologies, and best practices to ensure accurate and efficient analysis.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in simulation software and techniques, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
- Create detailed reports documenting simulation methodologies, findings, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in simulation and analysis.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis, with a strong emphasis on computational simulation .
- Expert proficiency in industry-standard FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) and CFD software (e.g., Fluent, STAR-CCM+).
- Solid understanding of material science, mechanics of materials, and heat transfer principles.
- Experience with scripting or programming for automation of simulation workflows (e.g., Python).
- Excellent remote communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
