Remote Network Security Engineer - Telecoms

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and technologies to protect the telecom network .
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
• Design and manage security solutions such as firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS), VPNs, and secure access controls.
• Monitor security alerts and incident response, coordinating swift and effective remediation actions.
• Stay abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, recommending and implementing proactive defence strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer , with a strong focus on securing telecommunications networks.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols (e.g., TLS/SSL, IPsec), and security technologies.
• Hands-on experience with configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
• Understanding of cloud security concepts and secure remote access solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or GIAC are highly desirable.
