About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for their UK-wide workforce. Operating entirely remotely , you will ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, deductions, and statutory contributions. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of payroll legislation, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Key Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees on a weekly or monthly basis, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Manage statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and other relevant schemes.
- Administer employee benefits, such as sick pay, holiday pay, and maternity/paternity leave calculations.
- Reconcile payroll reports and investigate and resolve any discrepancies or queries from employees.
- Liaise with HMRC and other relevant government bodies regarding payroll submissions and inquiries.
- Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records and ensure data privacy and security protocols are strictly followed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll processing role.
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll regulations, PAYE, National Insurance, and pension auto-enrolment.
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., BrightPay, Sage Payroll) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially in a remote environment.
