Remote Pharmaceutical Biostatistician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Remote Pharmaceutical Biostatistician to join their clinical development team, supporting projects from their Oxford hub. This role is pivotal in the design, analysis, and interpretation of clinical trials, ensuring the generation of robust data to support drug development and regulatory submissions. You will collaborate closely with clinical scientists, data managers, and medical writers to design study protocols, develop statistical analysis plans, and perform complex statistical analyses. This fully remote position offers the chance to work on impactful clinical research from anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Design clinical trial protocols, including sample size calculations and randomization schemes.
• Develop detailed statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for pre-specified and exploratory analyses.
• Perform statistical analyses of clinical trial data using SAS or R, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Interpret analysis results and prepare statistical sections of clinical study reports and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with data management to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Contribute to the development of research strategies and provide statistical expertise to project teams.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a biostatistician in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
• Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS (preferred) or R.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, statistical methodologies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICH guidelines).
• Experience with common clinical endpoints and statistical modeling techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote working environment.
