About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand market presence. This role is fully remote, allowing you to operate from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and negotiating agreements within the pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, an extensive network within the industry, and a proven track record in business development and strategic alliances. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisition targets within the pharmaceutical landscape.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
- Lead negotiations for licensing agreements, collaborations, and other strategic partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and research institutions.
- Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence to identify trends and opportunities.
- Prepare business cases, proposals, and presentations to secure internal and external buy-in for strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- MBA or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (a science or pharmacy degree is a strong asset).
- Significant experience (7+ years) in business development , strategic partnerships, or corporate strategy within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Demonstrated success in deal-making, negotiation, and managing complex commercial agreements.
- Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, including R&D pipelines, therapeutic areas, and competitive dynamics.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a remote , self-managed environment.
