About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Process Development Engineer to join their cutting-edge research and development team, with an operational context related to Oxford . This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to innovative process design and optimization from anywhere. You will focus on developing novel chemical processes, scaling them from lab to pilot, and ensuring they are robust, safe, and environmentally sound. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new chemical processes, from laboratory research to pilot-scale validation.
- Optimize existing processes for improved yield, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Design and execute experiments, analyze results, and develop robust process models.
- Prepare detailed process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and operating protocols.
- Ensure all process development activities adhere to stringent safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with remote R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Significant experience in process development, scale-up, and optimization within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency with process simulation and modeling software (e.g., Aspen Plus).
- Strong understanding of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and separation principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote role.
