Remote Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Process Development Engineer to join their cutting-edge research and development team, with an operational context related to Oxford . You will focus on developing novel chemical processes, scaling them from lab to pilot, and ensuring they are robust, safe, and environmentally sound. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new chemical processes, from laboratory research to pilot-scale validation.
• Optimize existing processes for improved yield, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Design and execute experiments, analyze results, and develop robust process models.
• Prepare detailed process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, and operating protocols.
• Ensure all process development activities adhere to stringent safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with remote R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Significant experience in process development, scale-up, and optimization within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with process simulation and modeling software (e.g., Aspen Plus).
• Strong understanding of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, and separation principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote role.
