About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Process Development Engineer to contribute to their cutting-edge research and development initiatives. This role will focus on designing, evaluating, and optimizing novel chemical processes from a remote setting, playing a key role in bringing new products to market. You will collaborate closely with a globally distributed team of scientists, engineers, and project managers, utilizing virtual collaboration tools to drive innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new chemical processes, from laboratory scale conceptualization through to pilot plant validation.
- Conduct thorough literature reviews, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations for potential new process technologies.
- Utilize advanced process modeling and simulation tools to predict performance and optimize operating parameters.
- Design and oversee experimental programs, analyze data, and generate comprehensive reports with clear recommendations.
- Effectively communicate project progress, technical findings, and challenges to diverse project teams and stakeholders via virtual platforms.
- Ensure all process designs comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in process development , scale-up, and troubleshooting in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) and statistical analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects concurrently in a remote work setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex technical information.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, separation technologies, and process safety principles.
