Remote Process Optimization Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Remote Process Optimization Engineer to enhance their manufacturing efficiency globally. This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from your home office anywhere in the UK. You will be tasked with analyzing existing chemical processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing data-driven strategies to boost yield, reduce waste, and minimize operational costs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, and a proven track record in process improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data from various chemical processes to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies for improving process yield, energy efficiency, and throughput.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to monitor process performance.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and operations teams remotely to implement and validate process changes.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings and recommendations to management.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in process optimization.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering, with a specific focus on process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis software.
• Experience with process simulation and modeling tools is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
