Remote Procurement Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and motivated Remote Procurement Analyst to join their globally distributed purchasing team, supporting operations across the UK including Glasgow . This fully remote position is ideal for an individual who excels at data analysis, process improvement, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives from their home office. You will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting on procurement data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and assisting in the development and implementation of procurement best practices. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills, who can thrive in an independent work environment while collaborating effectively with colleagues worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data related to spend, supplier performance, and market trends.
• Develop regular reports and dashboards to provide insights into procurement activities and identify areas for improvement.
• Support senior procurement staff in strategic sourcing initiatives, including market research and supplier evaluation.
• Assist in the management of supplier contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
• Identify and quantify cost-saving opportunities through data analysis and process optimization.
• Maintain and update procurement-related databases and documentation accurately.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role, preferably within a purchasing function.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and stakeholder interaction.
