Remote Production Planning Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Production Planning Specialist to join their dynamic manufacturing team. This role is entirely remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing production schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely order fulfillment. This position requires a highly organized individual with a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage production schedules to meet demand and optimize plant capacity.
• Analyze production data, forecast demand, and identify potential scheduling conflicts or constraints.
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and sales teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery of finished goods.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes or unforeseen issues.
• Utilize production planning software and tools to create efficient and realistic production plans.
• Communicate production schedules and updates clearly to all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in production planning , scheduling, or operations management within a manufacturing context.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning/scheduling software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, crucial for remote work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating virtually.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
