About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Remote Real Estate Development Manager to oversee property development projects from conception to completion, entirely from a remote setting. This role is crucial for driving the successful execution of our development pipeline across the UK, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will liaise with a distributed team of professionals, including architects, contractors, and consultants, fostering strong communication and collaboration despite the geographic separation. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled manager to shape impactful projects and contribute to the company's growth from the convenience of their home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of the real estate development lifecycle, including site acquisition, planning, design, construction, and project close-out.
- Develop and meticulously manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring adherence to financial targets and schedules.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with remote internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
- Conduct site visits and project progress assessments as required, maintaining oversight of on-site activities.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.
- Ensure all development activities comply with relevant planning permissions, building regulations, and legal requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate development project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects remotely, utilizing effective communication and project management tools.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, planning regulations, and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and virtual collaboration platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Construction Management, Real Estate, Engineering, or Architecture.
