Remote Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Remote Renewable Energy Project Manager to drive the development and execution of key projects within the renewable energy sector . This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage projects from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and feasibility studies through to construction and commissioning. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of renewable energy technologies and project management best practices, all managed effectively in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage) from conception to completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and health and safety standards.
• Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular progress updates and reports.
• Oversee procurement, contract negotiation, and site management activities as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing renewable energy projects .
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
• Excellent understanding of renewable energy technologies, grid connection processes, and relevant legislation.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, suitable for a remote management role.
