Remote Retail Operations Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Remote Retail Operations Analyst to join their central operations team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while analyzing key performance indicators and providing insights to optimize retail operations nationwide. You will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and reporting on sales data, inventory metrics, and operational efficiencies to support strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with a strong quantitative background and a passion for leveraging data to drive improvements in the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, cleanse, and analyze data from various retail systems, including sales, inventory, and customer transaction data.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to store performance, inventory turnover, and operational efficiency.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in retail data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regional managers and store teams to understand operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new operational procedures and best practices.
• Prepare presentations and summaries of findings for management and other relevant departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence, preferably within the retail industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel (advanced), SQL, and experience with BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely in a remote setting .
