Remote Senior Accountant

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and highly independent Senior Accountant to join their finance department on a fully remote basis. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of financial records and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of comprehensive financial statements , management reports, and tax filings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Manage and reconcile complex general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies suitable for a remote operating environment.
• Collaborate virtually with internal teams and external auditors to ensure smooth financial operations and audits.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and settlement of transactions.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent degree with substantial experience.
• A minimum of 6 years of comprehensive accounting experience, with a strong focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Demonstrated success in managing accounting functions autonomously in a remote work environment.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, coupled with expert-level Excel skills.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach.
