About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Remote Senior Buyer to lead key sourcing initiatives. This position is fully remote, allowing you to operate from any location within the UK. You will be responsible for managing significant spend categories, developing advanced sourcing strategies, and building strong relationships with critical suppliers. Your expertise in negotiation, market analysis, and contract management will be crucial in driving cost savings and ensuring supply chain resilience for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective category strategies for high-value spend areas.
• Lead complex sourcing events, including RFPs and contract negotiations, to achieve optimal terms and value.
• Manage and nurture relationships with key strategic suppliers, ensuring performance and fostering innovation.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within assigned categories.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and align procurement activities.
• Monitor supplier performance against contracts and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a Senior Buyer or similar strategic sourcing role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large spend categories and delivering significant cost savings.
• Expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex market data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in a remote work setting.
