Senior Financial Accountant - Remote

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their team on a fully remote basis, with potential connections to their Wolverhampton operations. This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial reporting and statutory obligations. You will lead key financial processes, provide strategic insights, and manage relationships with auditors and stakeholders from a remote setting. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS .
• Manage the year-end audit process and ensure all statutory filings are completed accurately and on time.
• Develop and implement robust financial controls and policies to mitigate risk.
• Provide expert advice on complex accounting matters and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
• Oversee the accounting for treasury activities, including cash management and debt.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the finance team remotely.

Requirements

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with substantial post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in financial accounting , preferably in a complex or listed company environment.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards.
• Demonstrated experience in managing audits and statutory reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in advanced financial reporting tools and ERP systems .
