Remote Senior Drilling Fluids Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Drilling Fluids Engineer to provide expert services remotely. You will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing drilling fluid programs for various projects, ensuring operational efficiency, wellbore stability, and environmental compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of fluid chemistry, rheology, and drilling fluid properties, working closely with drilling engineers and rig site personnel to troubleshoot and solve complex challenges. You will play a crucial part in minimizing drilling costs and risks through expert fluid management, all executed from your remote work setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well objectives and formations.
• Monitor drilling fluid performance during operations, analyzing data and recommending adjustments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for drilling fluid issues encountered on rig sites.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding drilling fluid disposal and management.
• Conduct laboratory testing and analysis of drilling fluid samples to ensure quality and performance.
• Collaborate with drilling engineers, geologists, and service companies to optimize fluid selection and usage.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related science discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry .
• In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid chemistry, properties, and applications.
• Experience with drilling fluid additives, testing procedures, and solids control equipment.
• Familiarity with industry best practices and standards for drilling fluids.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for effective remote support.
