Remote Senior Geologist - Resource Exploration

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Senior Geologist to join their dynamic exploration team, focusing on identifying and evaluating new mineral resource opportunities. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You will play a critical role in geological data analysis, modelling, and interpretation to guide exploration strategies and assess the economic viability of potential mining sites across various regions. The ideal candidate will be an expert in geological principles and have a strong aptitude for remote collaboration and analysis, contributing significantly to the company's discovery pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive geological assessments and create detailed 3D models of mineral deposits using advanced software.
• Interpret geophysical and geochemical data to identify prospective exploration targets.
• Plan and oversee remote geological fieldwork, including sample collection and site assessments.
• Prepare technical reports, resource estimates, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with geologists, engineers, and external consultants in a virtual environment.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological exploration techniques and technologies.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Geology, Economic Geology, or a related earth science discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a strong focus on data analysis and interpretation.
• Proficiency in geological modelling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, ArcGIS) and data analysis tools.
• Experience with various exploration methods, including drilling, geophysics, and geochemistry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
