Remote Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations based near Birmingham . This pivotal role involves driving process improvements, optimizing supply chain logistics, and implementing advanced manufacturing techniques across our client's diverse industrial portfolio. You will be instrumental in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving the overall quality of operations without the need for physical presence in a specific office location. This position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the challenge of making a tangible impact on global industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of process improvements and operational strategies, utilizing remote collaboration tools.
• Analyze production data and operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for enhancement.
• Develop and deploy lean manufacturing initiatives and Six Sigma projects virtually.
• Collaborate extensively with engineering, operations, and management teams across different time zones.
• Create detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software to improve remote operational oversight and efficiency.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Research, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a strong focus on process optimization.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency with ERP systems , process simulation software, and data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive change within a distributed workforce.
