About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a talented Remote Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their forward-thinking organization, based operationally out of Belfast, Northern Ireland , but fully remote. This role is crucial for the design, development, and implementation of innovative mechanical solutions across a variety of exciting projects. You will leverage your extensive expertise to tackle complex engineering challenges, contribute to product strategy, and collaborate effectively with a distributed global team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design process for new products and systems, from concept to production, utilizing CAD software .
- Perform in-depth FEA and CFD simulations to analyze performance, stress, and thermal characteristics.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate closely with remote R&D, manufacturing, and project management teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical design issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant professional experience (7+ years) in mechanical design and analysis.
- Proficiency in advanced CAD and CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote , collaborative environment.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and product development lifecycles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
