Remote Senior Structural Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process for building and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Conduct detailed structural analysis using advanced software, considering all relevant load cases and material behaviors.
• Prepare comprehensive structural design calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Mentor and guide junior structural engineers and technicians within the remote team.
• Liaise effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and other consultants through digital communication channels.
• Undertake site visits as occasionally required, ensuring the integrity of designs during construction.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or equivalent.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design .
• Proven expertise in designing a variety of structures, including concrete, steel, and masonry.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, Robot Structural Analysis, or similar.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, adapted for a remote working context.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines independently.
