About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Remote Strategic Sourcing Specialist to drive procurement excellence across their organization. This is a remote-first position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize spend, improve supplier performance, and mitigate supply chain risks. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical toolkit, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of best practices in strategic sourcing and category management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive spend analysis and market intelligence gathering to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for various categories of spend.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the sourcing process, from RFP development to supplier selection.
• Negotiate favorable contract terms, pricing, and service levels with suppliers.
• Develop and implement supplier performance management programs.
• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing , category management, or a related procurement role.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct complex spend analysis and market research.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
• Proficiency in e-sourcing tools and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
