About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Remote Sourcing Specialist to drive key procurement initiatives across the business. This is a fully remote position, ideal for an experienced professional who excels at developing long-term sourcing strategies, managing complex supplier relationships, and achieving significant cost savings without compromising quality or delivery. You will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new, innovative suppliers, negotiating high-value contracts, and ensuring that our client maintains a competitive edge through its supply chain. The role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams digitally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key spend categories, aligning with overall business objectives.
• Lead complex negotiations with national and international suppliers to secure optimal pricing, terms, and service level agreements.
• Conduct thorough market analysis, supplier assessments, and risk evaluations to ensure a robust and resilient supply chain.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, innovation, and strategic partnerships to drive competitive advantage.
• Manage and nurture key supplier relationships, fostering collaboration and ensuring performance meets or exceeds expectations.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and operational departments, to ensure alignment and successful contract implementation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or a related procurement role.
• Demonstrated success in managing significant procurement spend and delivering substantial cost savings through strategic initiatives.
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of market dynamics and global sourcing practices.
• Excellent remote communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable.
