About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Remote Strategic Sourcing Specialist to drive procurement excellence across the organisation. This is a critical, fully remote role focused on developing and implementing best-in-class sourcing strategies that optimise value, manage risk, and foster innovation within our supply base. You will be instrumental in identifying key sourcing opportunities, conducting rigorous supplier assessments, and leading complex negotiations for a variety of goods and services. The ideal candidate is a commercially astute professional with exceptional analytical and communication skills, adept at working independently and collaborating effectively across dispersed teams to achieve impactful procurement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing plans for key spend categories, aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis, supplier research, and risk assessments to inform sourcing strategies.
• Lead complex negotiations with suppliers, focusing on total cost of ownership, quality, innovation, and risk mitigation.
• Manage key supplier relationships, driving performance improvements and fostering collaborative partnerships.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure alignment on sourcing strategies.
• Monitor market dynamics and supplier performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

Requirements

• Substantial experience (6+ years) in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sourcing strategies that deliver significant cost savings and value.
• Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of contract management, supplier relationship management (SRM), and risk mitigation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at stakeholder engagement in a remote setting.
• A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
