About the Role

Our client is seeking an expert Remote Sustainable Agriculture Consultant to advise farmers and agricultural businesses on environmentally sound and economically viable practices. Working entirely remotely , you will leverage your expertise to guide clients in implementing strategies that enhance soil health, conserve water, reduce chemical inputs, and improve biodiversity. This role is critical in helping the agricultural sector transition towards more resilient and eco-friendly farming. You will collaborate virtually with a diverse client base and contribute to impactful projects aimed at creating a more sustainable food system. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and recommend customized sustainable agriculture plans for clients, focusing on soil health, water management, and biodiversity.
• Provide expert advice on organic farming principles, integrated pest management, and nutrient management strategies.
• Conduct virtual assessments of farming operations and identify areas for improvement in environmental performance and efficiency.
• Research and stay current with the latest advancements and best practices in sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming .
• Assist clients in navigating relevant regulations, certifications (e.g., organic), and funding opportunities for sustainable practices.
• Deliver webinars and create resources to educate clients and stakeholders on sustainable agriculture techniques.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Sustainable Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting, research, or direct application of sustainable farming practices.
• In-depth knowledge of soil science, crop rotation, cover cropping, and agroecology.
• Familiarity with various agricultural production systems and challenges across different regions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for effective virtual client engagement.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects in a remote setting.
