About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Remote Sustainable Agriculture Consultant to guide agricultural businesses towards more environmentally sound and economically viable practices. This fully remote role allows you to work from anywhere while advising clients on implementing sustainable farming techniques, resource management, and ecological balance. You will be instrumental in helping farms reduce their environmental footprint, enhance biodiversity, and improve soil health, contributing to a more resilient agricultural future. Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on adopting sustainable agricultural practices, including organic farming, conservation tillage, and crop rotation.
- Develop customized plans for improving soil health, water management, and biodiversity on farms.
- Conduct remote assessments of farming operations to identify areas for environmental improvement.
- Provide guidance on reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides through integrated pest management.
- Educate clients on regulatory requirements and opportunities related to environmental stewardship.
- Stay abreast of research, policy, and technological advancements in sustainable agriculture.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Significant experience (7+ years) in agricultural consulting with a strong focus on sustainability.
- Deep knowledge of ecological farming principles, soil science, and conservation practices.
- Proven ability to analyze complex environmental and agricultural data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote client engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects effectively.
