About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a proficient Remote Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their IT infrastructure. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our client's systems. You will be responsible for server administration, user support, network monitoring, and implementing IT solutions to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain server infrastructure (Windows Server, Linux) including installation, configuration, and patching.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems and applications.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures to protect company data.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) is highly desirable.
- Experience with network administration, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, effective in a remote team setting.
