Remote Telecoms Network Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Remote Telecoms Network Architect to design and shape the future of their network infrastructure. Working entirely from home, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, and oversight of scalable, reliable, and secure telecommunications networks. This is a high-impact role where you will define network standards, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure our client's network capabilities meet evolving business needs and industry demands. You will collaborate extensively with various technical teams across the organization, contributing to architectural decisions that will guide the company's technological direction in the global telecoms landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall network architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Design scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions, including core, access, and data center networks.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and solutions to enhance network capabilities and performance.
• Create detailed network design documentation, including logical and physical diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to oversee the implementation of new network designs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on network-related projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture, with a focus on large-scale telecommunications networks.
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching technologies, MPLS, and VPNs.
• Experience with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SDN/NFV.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, suitable for a remote role .
