About the Role

Our client is searching for a vigilant and technically adept Remote Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their operational support team. This role, based entirely from home, is essential for the continuous monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation of the company's telecommunications network services across the UK . You will play a key part in ensuring network uptime, performance, and security, responding to incidents and supporting various network platforms. The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and possesses strong troubleshooting skills necessary for a remote support function in the dynamic telecoms sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated management systems.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents and alerts in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform routine network health checks, system backups, and configuration management tasks.
• Provide first and second-level technical support for network-related issues encountered by users and systems.
• Assist in the implementation of network changes, upgrades, and patches under supervision.
• Document network events, resolutions, and contribute to the knowledge base for troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Previous experience in network operations, monitoring, or support within the telecoms industry.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPNs.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and ticketing systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues remotely.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a distributed team.
• Familiarity with VoIP systems and basic firewall management is a plus for this role in Norfolk .
