Our client is looking for a diligent and experienced Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their dedicated team, supporting operations remotely from Belfast . This role is essential for the day-to-day management and upkeep of our client's extensive telecommunications network, ensuring maximum uptime and seamless service delivery. You will play a key role in monitoring network health, responding to incidents, and implementing proactive measures to prevent disruptions. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance and availability of the telecom network using advanced monitoring tools.
- Respond promptly and effectively to network incidents and alarms, performing root cause analysis.
- Implement routine network maintenance, updates, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve escalated network issues.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of operational procedures and best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network status, incidents, and resolutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in telecom network operations or a similar support role.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP) and network infrastructure components.
- Experience with network monitoring and management systems.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing complex network problems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly in a remote setting.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar are advantageous.
