About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and meticulous Remote Transport Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations within their national operations. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for monitoring, advising on, and implementing compliance strategies related to vehicle operations, driver conduct, and environmental standards in the Driving & Transport sector. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain transport compliance policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
• Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and operational regulations.
• Advise management and operational teams on all aspects of transport compliance, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and licensing.
• Investigate compliance incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Keep abreast of changes in transport legislation and regulations, updating company policies accordingly.
• Prepare reports for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders regarding compliance status.

Requirements

• Proven experience in transport compliance , regulatory affairs, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of UK and relevant international transport laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, crucial for a remote role.
