About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Norwich, Norfolk . This role is central to the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and energy storage solutions. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and reliable integration of these technologies into the power grid. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for renewable energy projects, including grid connection and energy storage solutions.
• Perform electrical calculations and simulations for system performance and feasibility studies.
• Specify electrical equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cabling for renewable installations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, grid codes, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power systems.
• Experience in the design and development of electrical systems for renewable energy projects.
• Understanding of solar PV, wind turbine, or battery energy storage system (BESS) electrical configurations.
• Familiarity with power electronics, grid connection requirements, and relevant industry standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
