About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and influential Renewable Energy Policy Advisor to join their dedicated team, working remotely across the UK. You will play a crucial role in shaping and advocating for policies that support the growth and integration of renewable energy sources. This position involves in-depth research, analysis of current legislation, and engagement with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and government bodies. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis on national and international renewable energy policies and regulations.
• Develop policy recommendations and strategies to facilitate the deployment of renewable energy technologies.
• Engage with government officials, regulators, and other stakeholders to advocate for supportive policies.
• Prepare policy briefs, reports, and position papers for internal and external audiences.
• Monitor legislative developments and assess their potential impact on the renewable energy sector.
• Contribute to public consultations and provide expert advice on energy policy matters.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience (5+ years) in energy policy, governmental affairs, or a related advocacy role, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
• In-depth knowledge of the UK and European energy policy landscape.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a fully remote setting.
