About the Role

Our client is seeking an insightful Renewable Energy Policy Analyst to join their team, based in Edinburgh . This role is crucial for shaping and influencing the strategic direction of renewable energy development in Scotland and beyond. You will conduct in-depth research and analysis on current and emerging energy policies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks. Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze renewable energy policies , legislation, and market trends at local, national, and international levels.
• Evaluate the impact of policy changes on the renewable energy sector and the company's strategic objectives.
• Develop policy recommendations and position papers to support the growth of clean energy.
• Engage with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and academic institutions to foster dialogue and collaboration.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations on complex policy issues for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor developments in energy technology and their policy implications.

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, Law, or a related field.
• Proven experience in policy analysis, preferably within the energy or environmental sector.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and the UK energy market.
• Excellent analytical, research, and quantitative skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to simplify complex information.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy is advantageous.
