Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of key projects within their expanding portfolio. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne , you will be instrumental in bringing innovative renewable energy solutions from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a deep understanding of the renewable energy sector, particularly solar and wind power.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects, from initial feasibility studies to final commissioning.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively, ensuring optimal project performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors, and external stakeholders.
• Conduct site assessments, risk analyses, and develop mitigation strategies for project challenges.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare detailed project reports, progress updates, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector .
• Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMP) and software.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, wind energy, or battery storage technologies and project development lifecycles.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills, with experience managing diverse teams.
