Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Renewable Energy Project Manager to spearhead exciting new projects in Coventry . This role is crucial for developing and delivering a portfolio of sustainable energy solutions, including solar and wind farm developments. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to construction, commissioning, and handover, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes that align with strategic objectives and environmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of renewable energy project development and execution, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including landowners, regulatory bodies, suppliers, and construction contractors.
• Develop detailed project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies for all project phases.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure designs are optimized for performance, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
• Secure necessary permits and approvals, and manage the procurement and contracting process for equipment and services.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely solutions to keep projects on track.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale renewable energy projects (e.g., solar, wind, battery storage).
• Extensive experience in project management methodologies, contract negotiation, and financial management.
• Strong understanding of the UK's renewable energy landscape, planning regulations, and grid connection processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
